Organization profiles and badges

Every event on Involvo belongs to an organization, and every organization has a page: its name, what it does, and the events it has listed. From there you can follow it — see Following organizations.

Two markers can appear on an organization, and they mean different things.

Claimed and unclaimed

This is the one that affects you as a reader.

An organization is claimed when somebody from it has access to the page on Involvo. Someone is there. Their events are posted by them and kept up to date by them.

It is unclaimed when the page exists but nobody from the organization has access to it — usually because somebody else shared one of their events and the page was created along the way. Nobody there is maintaining it, and they may not know it exists.

The practical consequence is about how current the information is: an unclaimed organization's events are a snapshot from whoever added them. See How event information on Involvo works.

Verified

Some organizations also carry a verified badge.

Verification is applied by Involvo. It is not something an organization can switch on, request through the app, or obtain by filling anything in.

Getting access to your own organization

If you represent an organization on Involvo and want to manage its page and publish its events, contact Involvo and ask for administrator access. It is granted by hand — there is no claim button, and following the organization does not do it.
